BBRO to develop a digital yield improvement tool for UK sugar beet industry

A farm level digital yield improvement tool will support innovation by UK sugar beet growers.

To help make its science and knowledge available to farmers in the field, BBRO has initiated a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Nottingham University.

A new position has been created to support the analysis, interpretation and collection of data through interactions with growers. The KTP provides a great opportunity to work at the interface of science and practice.

The aim of the 36 month contract is to develop a digital yield improvement tool with input from farmers and the wider industry.
